The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsiblefor personnel, management and coordination of patient care activities for a defined area in accordance with established philosophy, objectives and policies of the facility to ensure safe, efficient and therapeutic patient care.

The Clinical Nurse Manager is a key stakeholder in evaluation, referral to treatment, referral management and admissions at Brattleboro Retreat and is responsible for all related processes and staff.
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the success of the following processes and key performance indicators including, but not limited to, referral processing turn-around time; referral completeness and accuracy; nursing standards and practices regarding the evaluation and admission of patients; the competencies related to the CLIA waived processes and point of care medical procedures and the staff that perform those functions; ensuring regulatory compliance for the entire admissions process and department; participating in nursing leadership meetings, performance improvement activities, and performance evaluations of staff.
